changing the domain from char2 to char4

hi

there is a requirement to increase the length of the domain from char2 to char 4.i have checked all the programs whether there is any hard coded value for the dataelement of this domain.can u let me know what else i need to check and is TMG required to be regenerated for change in domain?

HI

     You can change the domain length in se11.

     And while activating the domain it will give you dependant table list.

     You need to go to se11 ( another session ) and adjust all tables listed while activating domain.

    

     To adjust tables, use database utility option

     Utilities -> Database Object -> Database Utility

      Select  save data and click  Activate and Adjust database.

You could also check for dynpro where data-elemet using this domain are displayed, else overlapping could occur.

Yes you should regerate the TMG to regenerate the dynpro, code should not be changed.
