basic Start and end date of the work order is updated as WBS Element start and finish date

Hi Experts,
There is a scenario where we are creating bulk notifications and work orders. when we are trying to update WBS element using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN it is also updating the Basic start & Basic finish date of the order from WBS-Element in the header.
For eg: 1). Let's say I have created a work order. for which the basic start date is 02-10-2022 and the WBS start date is 14-02-2009.

2). Now if i update the WBS element using the Bapi BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. Now the basic start date 02-10-2022 changes to the WBS start date 14-02-2009.

Now my client does not want this to happen. The WBS dates should never overwrite the changed work order basic start or basic finish date.

Can anyone please let me know if it can be achieved.
