Authorization Progblem for SHD0 Variant Transaction

Hi,

We created an SHD0 Variant Transaction TCode ZME51N for ME51N which hide certain fields. Some users are given only the authorization to TCode ZME51N through the auth. object S_TCODE.

Users are blocked from ME51N and are able to open ZME51N, however during save, custom ZME51N shows error message that the user has no authorization for ME51N.

I check at the transaction at the right bottom screen of SAP GUI, even though I run ZME51N but the transaction displayed is ME51N.

The question is, is it possible to use SHD0 Variant Transaction for a scenario where we want to limit certain group of users from seeing a certain field at the standard transaction?

Did you look for OSS notes for your version (a similar bug exister in 2015 for some kernel variants)

Else did you try to add S_TCODE nocheck in options of ZME51N in transaction SU22/SU24 or link ZME51n to ME51n with SE97.
