Earning an SAP certification is a great way to upskill, validate your expertise, and advance your career. For those working with SAP Build, there are two key certifications to consider:

  • SAP Certified Associate - Low-Code/No-Code Developer - SAP Build (focused on SAP Build Apps, Process Automation, and Work Zone for app development and automation).
  • SAP Certified Associate - SAP Build Work Zone - Implementation and Administration (focused on configuring and managing SAP Build Work Zone for digital workplace experiences).

If you’re looking to get certified, this guide will walk you through both options—covering required courses, exam details, study tips, and resources to help you prepare.

About the Exam

Information about the exams, including the number of questions, cut scores and sample questions are published on learning.sap.com/certifications. The two available certifications for SAP Build are:

  1. SAP Certified Associate - Low-Code/No-Code Developer - SAP Build
  1. SAP Certified Associate - SAP Build Work Zone - Implementation and Administration

The certification website gives you a breakdown of topic areas covered in each exam and their weight, so you know what to focus on.

The certifications are valid for 12 months. You can extend the certification by 12 more months by completing an assessment. You will receive a heads up from SAP to let you know when it’s time to renew your certification.

How to Schedule the Exam

You can schedule your SAP Build certification exam in two ways:

If You Have a Learning Hub Subscription

With an SAP Learning Hub subscription, you receive four exam attempts per year as part of your plan. You can use these attempts to take up to four different certification exams or to retake an exam if needed.

To schedule your exam:

  1. Log in to learning.sap.com.
  2. Find the certification exam you want to take.
  3. Click Schedule. This will take you to the Questionmark certification portal, where you can view and manage your exam dates.
  4. On the Questionmark certification portal, click Exam dashboard from the top-level navigation. Then click Schedule an exam
  5. Find the certification exam you want to take from the list (there are a lot, and it’s easier to do a control / command + F). Click the calendar icon to select the desired date and time. Then click Save Appointment.
  6. To view your scheduled exams, click Exam Appointments from the top-level navigation.

If You Don’t Have a Learning Hub Subscription

If you don’t have a Learning Hub subscription, you can purchase a set of certification attempts.

You have three purchase options:

  • One certification attempt, available to purchase here.
  • Two certification attempts, including 10 hours of practice system access with it, available to purchase here.
  • A bundle of six attempts (usable for different certifications or exam retakes if needed), available to purchase here.

Once purchased, follow the scheduling instructions on the website to book your exam.

How to Stay Certified

SAP Build certifications are valid for one year. To maintain your certification, you’ll need to renew it annually.

  • If you have a Learning Hub subscription: You can renew your certification by completing a short assessment covering the latest SAP Build innovations.
  • If you don’t have a Learning Hub subscription: You must purchase a certification attempt and retake the full exam. You can do so here.
