as ABAP developer, you probably know the F1 function to get information on a keyword. This so-called ABAP-F1-Help is available for the ABAP Programming language, ABAP Dictionary and ABAP Core Data Services. It has been available for decades and it is generally a highly valued source of information.
But the ABAP F1-Help offers far more than information on keywords. It also contains information that can't be accessed via F1, such as release-specific changes, an executable example library, and a short reference that shows an overview of a keyword with all possible additions. It can be called via transaction code ABAPDOCU and is published on SAP Help Portal under different URLs for Cloud and on-premise. And it offers useful functions such as a button to open code snippets directly in your IDE, copy a URL to your clipboard, and send feedback to us.
To make users aware of the full scope and functions of the ABAP Keyword Documentation, we offer video tutorials. They explain how to access, navigate through, and benefit from the functions of the ABAP-F1-Help. There’s one video for each channel: SAP GUI, ADT, and SAP Help Portal.
Here’s the first video about the ABAP Keyword Documentation in SAP GUI:
The second video provides information on the ABAP Keyword Documentation in ADT:
The third video helps you find your way in the SAP Help Portal version of the docu:
