[Intro]This is the SAP Developer News for February 6, 2025.

[Daniel]BTP has introduced a new UI for defining destinations. Among the changes is a complete visual redesign of the UI, the ability to export destinations to different formats, as well as the response that you get whenever you check a connection. There's a blog that describes many of the changes and the motivations for them, but the best is actually to go into the BTP cockpit and look at it for yourself. The old UI is still there along with the new beta UI, and you can make comparisons for yourself. SAP is interested in what you think, so there is a Qualtrics survey linked to from the old UI, and feel free to give your comments. I will leave a link to the Qualtrics survey as well as to the blog in the description.

[DJ]Last year, I got together with CAP's chief architect and chief product owner all around Great Guy and Cap Papa Daniel Hudsell. We got together for a series called The Art and Science of Cap. Now, we paused that series for the holiday period, but now we're restarting it. Don't worry if you missed any of the episodes so far. The replays are available, and also we have show notes. in the form of blog posts that describe what happened in each of the parts. We've had six parts so far, six episodes, and we're starting again this Friday the 7th of February with episode 7, part 7. Daniel still has a load of insights to share about, well, the art and the science of cap. Don't miss it, it's on the Hans on TV Dev Show, Fridays. Check the links in the description. which will lead you to all the blog posts, all the replays, and the upcoming episodes. See you online.

[Josh]Hey Buddy, I want to make you aware of a new blog post that came out from Boris Zarski that was published on the SAP Community. He's highlighting a great webcast series that he had a part in helping create. There's two halves to this webcast series that's being produced by the Global User Groups Organization. The team putting this on has a lot of great knowledge, and they want to share with two different halves. One half is on BTP, and the other half is on what Boris has helped out with, which is called day two operations. So these sessions are starting on February 18th. The first is going to be on BTP. It'll be led by an expert, either a product manager or somebody else from the organization, that will stay around after the event, as with every event, for Q&A sessions. Like I said, the first one's going to be on February 18th on BTP, and then they're going to move into the BTP. area weeks following on app development, automation with BTP, data and analytics cloud, integration suite, tons of different things that if you look at the link that's attached to this news item, you'd be able to see all the sessions. That's just for the BTP part. The other part, and I really recommend you read Boris's blog post to understand how day two operations is being taught through, it is going to start on February 20th, and that first deep dive session they're going to have is going to be an overview for experts and beginners. And in that first session on February 20th, they'll be going through that topic area and then moving on to day two operations with SAP Cloud ALM and then moving into things like Terraform provider for SAP, BTP and many more other sessions. So hopefully you can go to the website and register for all these great events being put on by the global user group organization team and learn about BTP as well as day two operations. Talk to you later.

[DJ]If you're a regular viewer of the SAP developer news, You'll know about SAP BTP, but did you know about the SAP BTP Guidance Framework? No? Well, it's fairly new, and it's a guidance framework for architects, developers, and administrators to build and run enterprise-grade solutions on BTP. What's more, there's a blog post explaining all about this framework, including a three-part live video series, Parts one and two are already done but of course you can watch the replays and part three is next week. So head on over to Ceci's blog post to find out all about the framework and all about the video series.

[Antonio]Hola, SAP developers. Have you seen the new SAP community escape house? Well, it is a virtual escape house created by the developer advocate's team. It consists of multiple rooms that you can play in your, browser. It is a fun, interactive way to learn about SAP technologies. This year's developer challenges are in the SAP Community Escape House. Like last year, there is a new developer challenge every month, unlocking a new room in the Escape House. January's developer challenge, Escape Room, was about UI5. Now, February's Developer Challenge is all about SAP Integration Suite and its optional hybrid runtime. If you want to learn about it, go check out the SAP Community Escape House. I'm including the link in the description.
