Hi All,

Nowadays I am hearing a lot about Widgets , I want more info abt this & also abt the Tools to develope this Widgets for SAP.

Widgets are Desktop applications, Please Download the Yahoo Widget engine

at www.widget.yahoo.com .If you have good knowledge of Javascript you can start working on it .Download the widget engine from Yahoo and check this out:

Widget Creation Tutorial.Then have a look at what else is possible here with the full reference guide

Widgets

SAP is providing customers and their employees a new way to access company information.Companies make a significant investment in technology and would like to get more out of their investment. With all of the different departments and employee positions, it's a monumental task and, therefore, a common dilemma across all different types of companies and technologies. Given all of the departments and positions, there are still so many underserved employees.

Enterprise Widgets provide a way to serve all of the people in a company without increasing technology budgets or adding long development cycles.

The primary advantage is their ability to bring enterprise data and transactions closer to the users, transforming generic interactions to the specific needs of a department or employee community. This creates new value through the compositing of information and functions from multiple back-end systems.

What are Enterprise Widgets?

Enterprise Widgets are a UI channel suitable for quick enterprise transactions, light-weight tracking and monitoring, and other interactions that users want close to their everyday work. The SAP Enterprise Widget technology is extensible though plug-ins and provides integration into SSO solutions and connections to Web Services, BAPIs, and RFCs. It currently supports Yahoo! Widget Engine, Apple Dashboard and Windows Vista Gadgets.
