SAP Mail Stuck and give error Msg 816

Dear Experts ,

We are using SAP ECC6.0 on HP Unix 11.31 with oracle 11g ,from  SAP so many Internal and External  mails goes to users.

But some mails stuck in SAP  give Error  Msg 816 .

I have check our mail Server , Network all is working fine .But these SAP mails give error occasionally  .

What and why this error come , Please find the screen shot for detail.

It will be great full for me.

Hi Pooja,

Please do the following checks

1) SMTP service is activated in SMICM

2) Email address is maintained in SU01 for the user whose name appears under Sender.

3) SMTP relaying is enabled on the mail server for the SAP server from which emails needs to flow

4) Correct SMTP server is maintained in SCOT configuration

Dear Deepak ,

In this SMTP Service is already activate in SMICM .

We have given email ID in User ID via  SU01.

SMTP  relay is already enable that y we are sending mostly mails.

But some SAP mails give error occasionally not all mails give error.

Why some mails stuck with error code 816

Please compare the following

1) SCOT settings where port and email addresses are specified.

  

Ensure you have * specified.

Dear Deepak ,

I have already done * as specified by you .Because this problem come occasionally not reguarlly.

When Its give Error  816 its show below messege

Our mail server and Network is working fine .
