Hi,
I have installed NW 2004s ABAP Trial version, but when I start SAP MMC the disp+work.exe is stopped and I am not able use it.What could be the problem ?
Please help me to solve this.
Regards,
Pavan
Since the hostname is more than 13 chars I got the problem. Now I have changed the hostname and reinstalled the trial version ,it is working fine.
Thankyou Klaus for your reply.

Pavan

Hello Pavan,
Please start the application server, right-click on the disp+work.exe process in the SAP MMC, choose 'Developer Trace' and post it here.

Hello,
Could you please check whether the database is up and running? You can do so by open a command line interface and enter
dbmcli -d NSP -u control,<PASSWORD> DB_STATE
where <PASSWORD> is the password you entered during installation. If the db is stopped, start it with
dbmcli -d NSP -u control,<PASSWORD> DB_ONLINE
and try to start the application server again. Please check also the file
%SystemRoot%System32driversetcservices
for entries on port 3600, 3900 and 8000.
Another thing you could check is the files stderr(0/1) in the folder
<INSTALL_DIR>NSPDVEBMSG00workstderr
for further information?
Regards,
Klaus
