Once a year, Salesforce.com holds its Dreamforce user conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Once a year, we hear an uptick in conversations about apps, and cloud, and customer-centricity. And once a year, we wonder why no one is talking about one of the most important criteria of any CRM system—namely, do sales reps want to use it? Or are they just being sales-forced into putting up with a user experience that’s outdated, inflexible, and hard to use?
We wanted answers. So this year we decided to show Dreamforce attendees how a beautiful CRM interface really looks and feels—and gauge their reaction. Would we be met with indifference and apathy? Or surprise and joy? Watch what happens when SAP went to the streets of Dreamforce with a video camera, a microphone, and an iPad loaded with SAP Cloud for Sales.

Gurdeep, thanks for sharing. At Dreamforce couple of Salesforce team/ partner made it feel like SAP CRM is desktop based solution and has no mobile interface.... quoting Coca-Cola Western Europe example...
Which is absolutely true that traditional on-premise SAP CRM is desktop based and you can pay SAP extra to mobilize the solution instead of SAP providing mobility as standard feature for CRM which needs to be the case.
That being said when you are number two in the market, these type of activities are needed. However only focusing on number one is probably short-sighted, and there is another competitor coming from behind that could possibly make SAP number three in this space that has better business process strengths.
Thank you all for the comments on this video. This was done on very short notice, with zero budget, and it would not have been possible without the efforts of Craig Downing, Amy Moore, and Aaron Olson from the SAP Cloud Marketing team!
