I recently had the opportunity to speak with Leandro Daminelli, Software Development Manager with SAP Business One partner, Liberali. Liberali, a 2017 finalist for the SAP Business One Software Solution Partner Innovator of the Year Award, has been spearheading innovative projects in Agribusiness in Brazil for 11 years.
Recently they’ve launched B1Agribusiness, an add-on to SAP Business One which manages the entire agricultural process for cattle processing, cotton, and coffee, to name a few.
With this solution they are also using the SAP HANA platform, which provides for real-time data processing that yield faster results for analysis and decision-making. As a result they are able to help their customers improve sustainability by:

- capturing climatic records in meteorological stations so it is possible to cross-check historical rainfall data for a more accurate planting and harvesting,
- view dashboards which show the evolution of planting and harvesting, storage control and origin of the grains,
- eliminating field notes that were once printed on paper and later stored in spreadsheets – these are now available anytime, anywhere via mobile applications; and by
- accessing real-time data which prevents the company from losing time and money because of delayed decisions.
