Within the next couple of days, thousands of SAP customers, developers, and partners are heading to Orlando Florida, to soak up some knowledge at the ASUG Annual Conference, which is conveniently co-located with a little event known as SAPPHIRENOW.

And by now, I hope you've all read various blogs or tweets telling you a few key essentials (but if not, here they are)

     1) Wear comfortable shoes - you may log many miles before you head home.  Treat your feet with some respect.

     2) While it's in the 80s in Orlando, some people consider the conference rooms chilly, so bring a sweater if you tend to chill.

     3) Bring a reusable water bottle, so you can stay hydrated

     4) Plan ahead - check out the agenda builder at SAPAndASUG.

For the most part, I try to be 'maniacally focused' at the Annual Conference.  There will be a great slate of SAP Business Workflow sessions, and I am also really looking forward to some Process Observer sessions.  Of course, I want to know more about Mobility.  And there will probably be some sessions about a lady named HANA, but I don't know what she did to get all that attention.

It's also important to be a little flexible; you never know when you might bump into just the right person to talk to - so try not to miss these serendipitous meetings due to an overbooked schedule.  Sometimes 10 minutes in a hallway conversation will bring you more benefit than an hour on the showroom floor.  Still, if you are interested in learning more about SAP Business Workflow, I've collected a few sessions for you to enjoy.  There will be ample time for hallway conversations after the sessions!

As always, look out for ASUG volunteers to help you find your way (I think the shirts will be royal blue this year) and keep an eye out for the SAP Mentors, as they will be out in force as well.

I am looking forward to a very exciting week ahead.  How about you?  Do you have any strategies for survival?

Will you be able to 'spot the mentor'?
