To start with, I would like to introduce myslef.
I am a research associate and PhD student at the Krcmar Chair for Information Systems at Technische Universität München, Germany. My research interests include IT-aspects of corporate transactions (divestitures, mergers & acquistions), business model innovation, and IT-enabled value webs (e.g. cloud computing). For my thesis I am investigating IT-related challenges in divestitures, so called IT carve-outs, developing an ideal world model to explain carve-out success and suggesting design recommendations for IT carve-out management.
I have studied information systems at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany, and at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Sweden. My focus was on general management, IT and business process management, and softwareengineering.
Besides my studies I have worked as an intern for BMW, Bosch, ContentServ and Siemens. Prior to my studies I undertook an apprenticeship in business administration at Wolf GmbH.
Further information about my research can be found on the homepage of the chair for Information Systems (www.winfobase.de) or my personal website (www.boehm-markus.de).
I am looking forward to an interesting information exchange and a fruitful discussions!
