Join Us in Orlando on Thursday – May 16, 2013!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand new ASUG Special Interest Group (SIG) representing the unique concerns and requirements of the Industrial Machinery & Components (IM&C) industry. This group serves SAP users from companies in the following industrial manufacturing segments:
- Automation & Control Solutions
- Construction & Mining Equipment
- Energy & Power Equipment
- Rail Equipment & Shipbuilding
- Machinery & Equipment
The primary focus of the IM&C SIG is: to provide networking and education opportunities for SAP users working for industrial manufacturing companies. Collaborating with industry peers, sharing best practices, and influencing SAP product direction provide tremendous opportunities for industrial professionals to increase their SAP knowledge, expand their business experience, and advance their careers. The main goal of the group is:to give SAP customers and partners a unique forum to share their industry experiences, new ideas, and best practices relating to their industrial machinery, equipment, and component businesses, as well as the SAP solutions that help support their engineering, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, service, human resources, financial, and technology operations.
The IM&C SIG objectives include:
- Provide valuable IM&C information to both seasoned and new users of SAP
- Deliver education targeted specifically to the IM&C industry
- Offer a direct channel for IM&C customers to influence SAP product development
- Develop a value-added ecosystem of IM&C customers and partners
The IM&C SIG Volunteers for 2013 are:
- Thad Brockman – Greenheck Fan Corporation
- Tony Hoodak – The Gleason Works
- Leslee Schneider – The Manitowoc Company
- Lori Jaeger – SAP IM&C Industry Business Unit (IBU)
The four of us are very much looking forward to serving our ASUG co-members and industry friends! At the annual ASUG event in Orlando, FL in May there will be face-to-face “Community Lounge,” which offers a marvelous opportunity to network with peers in the IM&C industry, discuss goals, and identify focus topics for the group.
Please join us on:
Thursday – May 16, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Meeting Room 3 of the ASUG Lounge on the SAPPHIRE / ASUG show floor at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Use Session Code CL30 to add this meeting to your Agenda Builder
For those of you not able to join us in person during the 2013 ASUG Annual Conference, we will also be developing our plans with an upcoming IM&C SIG Survey. This tool will help capture your ideas on industry-specific topics and send them directly to IM&C members for feedback. We highly encourage you to sign up for the IM&C SIG to be included on this valuable distribution list.
To round out our 2013 plan we look forward to hosting two industry focused webcasts. This first topic, scheduled for September 2013, is titled “What’s New for IM&C?” The follow-up educational offering will be determined from the topics gathered from your feedback during the Community Lounge event in Orlando as well as the SIG Survey results.
Once again, your SIG team is very much looking forward to serving our industry and community. For more information about this new community, please contact Lori Jaeger for details
