[Bug]Cannot edit comment (Edit button opens new comment field)

There seems to be a bug at least in the Coffee Corner. I've been able to recreate it consistently with several comments in multiple threads.

Click Edit under Actions.

Comment text disappears and is replaced by a new comment field:

Fortunately, at least it doesn't lose the original text. But it's not feasible to edit any comments now.

I'm using latest Firefox and Windows 10 if it matters.

P.S. Just checked and it seems to work fine in Q&A, so looks like just CC is affected.

Testing the problem in FF.

EDIT:

Don't see the issue with FF 61.0.2 on Win7

Don't see the issue with Chrome 68.0.3440.106 also on Win7

I can confirm exactly same bug in the Coffee Corner - unable to edit my comments!

Using FireFox ESR 52.9.0 32 bit on Win 10

Looks like you have to test your comment in the Coffee Corner... not here!

Definitely see the issue with FF 61.0.2 on Win7 but as Jelena noted, that I missed, and was pointed out by Vadim, only in Coffee Corner. Interesting undocumented feature. 😄

After selecting Edit, previous text disappears and leave the empty (looking like a new Comment) text box. However, when I try to enter some text and then save it, nothing happens. The Submit button greys out, but then the page never updates. If I copy the url to a new window tab, the new text was not saved and the old Comment was not changed.

I can also confirm the bug in the Coffee Corner using Chrome 68.0.3440.106 64-bit on Windows 8.
