MRO : Automatic Estimation

Hello Experts,

When MRO are crated, could it be possible to automatically estimate them ? (without EL30 or EL18 )

We tried to setup Schedule Meter Reading Category (03 = Automatic estimation) in meter reading unit but it doesn't work.

Something to do in SPRO ?

Hi Stefan,

You can perform automatic estimation only when the reading is to be entered against the MRO created.

As MRO creation and meter reading are separate processes, perhaps you can check if there are available user exits / BAdI's to allow you to perform the next meter reading operations when MRO is created.

Yes it's possible. This is how we generate estimated readings for Budget Billing purposes. The meters are only read every other month, so to get monthly BPP we estimate the in between months. The estimated reading is created during the MRO creation process, so that the reading order is not eligible for downloading to the Itron system.

Hi stephan,

Just define the meter reading type in the shedule record as 03.. I mean in the mru definition. In this way it always generate an estimation cause the best reading document can be just an estimate reading!!
