what is IDES Server? what is the purpose and why we use this server?

Hi Sonali,

IDES : A system that is used exclusively for the SAP International Demonstration and Education System. IDES uses a model company to describe common business process and explain how they are mapped in the SAP System

The IDES server is used for training purpose.

IDES is normal r/3but it has a lot of demo data...used for educational purpose

SAP's worldwide training courses and customer demos are based on examples from the IDES model company. Its uses are that it can support self-study, organized training, functional evaluation, or individual business process modeling.
