How to set up an ESR

Hello everybody,

Does anybody know where I can find some info on how to set up an ESR for our company?

And how do I import the existing Webservices provided by SAP?

ESR is one of component of XI. ESR stores meta data of services like interfaces , which contains WSDL descriptions. these can expose as web services.

once u install XI server, ESR wiil be available in u r company.

SAP provides set of predefined services inESR. u can import them from service market place.

Hi, Patrick

Simple procedure is like the following.

1. Install ERP 2005.

2. Install ECC-SE add-on packages or SAP ERP Enhancement Package 2005.1.

And apply ECC-SE SP3 would be required.

3. Check services in the T-Code SE80.

And i think you don't need XI for the time being. It is just optional.

With just ECC, you can use web services provided by SAP.

Have you installed SAP ENhancement package ?

Is there any installation guide ? I have gone through master installation guide but it is not giving me what I am looking for.

Can we separate HR, Financials enhancement package installation ?

I would appreciate if you give more info.

Well, we actually installed directly from ECC-SE add-on packages

because we did install last year before Enhancement Package was released.

But i think the contents in the Enhancement Package are same.

Anyway, please refer to this note.
