sap.m.UploadCollection refresh issue

I am facing a very weird issue with Upload Collection UI element in IE11. The document gets uploaded and uploadComplete event is getting fired properly. Now in this handler I am updating the upload collection list but for unknown reasons the code is geeting executed but not calling the backend get entity. The same application works flawlessly in google chrome and even in IE11 if I open the F12 debugger tool the applications starts behaving normally.

I am not sure how to tackle this issue as if I open the F12 tool the applications works and I cannot do any analysis. In addition to this I also observed that this behavior has stopped in our newly upgraded DEV box. The UI5 libraries have got updated in this upgrade and we are on 1.28.44 in DEV and 1.28.24 in QA.

IE normally has some minor issues in comparison to Chrome, while runnign UI5 applications.
