SOURCE SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE

HI ,

WHEN I ASSIGN DATA SOURCE TO INFOSOURCE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS SHOWING.

"InfoSource 0FI_AP_3 is not available in source system BIWCLNT100"

WHEN SEE THE DETAILS, THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS SHOWING, WHAT WUD BE THE PROBLEM? IS IT THE PROBLEM WITH SOURCE SYSTEM OR IA AM DOING SOME MISTAKE? PLEASE HELP ME.

"Message no. R3101

Diagnosis

The process to create a transfer structure for the InfoSource 0FI_AP_3 was terminated.

InfoSource 0FI_AP_3 is not known in source system SCMCLNT100.

The reason for this is that the InfoSource has been deleted from the source system, but the metadata has not yet been adjusted. This means that the metadata for source system SCMCLNT100 is therefore obsolete in the Business Information Warehouse.

System response

The action was terminated; data changes were reversed.

Procedure

Adjust the metadata for source system SCMCLNT100 in the Business Information Warehouse."

Please let me know what is the best way to resolve this

Go and activate the InfoSource in BI Content.

Hi Maulik,

Right click on the source system and select "Replicate data sources" and then try creating the infosource.

Hi Kamaljit, Parth,

I replicated the Datasource on the BW side. Doesn't help. Also tried to activate the Infosource after assigning the datasource to the infosource. But the same error message pops up again.

Could someone please help.

The earlier post ask you to replicate the source system not the infosource alone

Have you did that

Hi,

I did 'Replicate the Datasources' on the Source System on the BW side. After that I assigned the Datasource to the Infosource. I then tried to activate the Infosource The same error message comes up again.

Could someone help.

Hey,

Try this, go to 'source systems' select you source system and right click and select 'Repicate Data Sources' , then try replicating the the infosource for that

appilication at the top node level as a whole, the try replicating the Data source

with in your infoarea..

Dear Maulik,

I hope you are working in Development Environment, if Yes , Goto the Business Content and Install the Infosource ( 0FI_AP_3 ) . Replicate the Datasource from Source Systems -- > Replicate Datasource .

Come to Infosource Over View Screen , assign Sourcesytem to the Infosource and from there and activate the transfer rules.

Looked like it was something to do with the Source System in BW not pointing to the correct SAP Source System due to incorrect RFC Connection. Our System administrators finally corrected it.
