Hello everybody at SDN,

is it possible to change the behaviour of the standard date selector in Web Dynpro for ABAP in a way that the first day of this value help is monday instead of sunday?

Hello Heidi,

I am using an Input Field in Web Dynpro for ABAP with type DATUM. In this case a Value Help (CALENDAR) is attached automatically to this field.

This is not the same as Date Navigator or is it?

If it is the same, where can I find the View Designer to set the properties of this element?

Hi Georg,

The data selector displayed for D-typed fields is different to the DateNavigator ui element. You can find the DateNavigator ui element in the list of ui elements that can be put into a container or at the toolbar at the left within the view desginer.

An example can be found in component WDR_TEST_EVENTS.

Do you know if the date selector for input fields with type DATUM is customizable in a way that monday is the first day instead of sunday?

I am not using the DateNavigator UI element.

Hi Georg,

This is actually a pending development request. There is currently no data available in the system we can use to determine which language has which day as its first day of the week. Once this data will become available, we will be able to adjust the date selector. I afraid, I can't provide an eta on this enhancement as there's still stuff with higher priority in the queue. In the meantime, we are forced to use the english notation with Sunday being the first day of the week.
