Hello,

We are using BRF+ for our dunning by collection strategy. While creating a new strategy we face an conversion error for one Value Range expression. We are able to see this error in BRF+ trance after executing dunning run.

below is the value range expression an and the elements used in it.

We also have notices that when we are in trace mode and try to see the data in the structure we face an SAP internal error message.

We run Business Suite 748.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Armand,

I would say at the first glance that this is a bug (probably in the generated code). You can take some further steps in your analysis (that make life for SAP support a bit easier too)

Ffirst step for the analysis: Can you execute the simulation in interpretation and generation mode and check if the same error occurs? Background: The interpretation mode is usually "better" in the sense that sometimes the bug (which this situation is imho) is part of the generated code.

Second Step: Navigate to the generated class of you BRFplus function and go to the code block where the comparison is made. Probably you will see the cause for the error at once or perhaps you need some debugging action :-).

In any case a support ticket to SAP to resolve the situation is inevitable

Hi Christian,

I suppose that to perform both steps I need a solid background of ABAP which unfortunately I lack. Probably we will open directly a ticket to SAP.

Hi Armand,

the simulation can be done in the BRFplus workbench as one option when you start the simulation (no ABAP skills required). The second one is indeed for someone with ABAP skills 🙂

Anyway would be great if you could post the solution of SAP here e.g. the SAP note number
