There are several additional ISV products available on the market to do an fully automated homogenous system copy, supported by fast hardware mechanisms e.g. FlashCopy.

If you need further info please contact me via eMail.

Thank you.

Greetings by Jochen Ziegler

jochen.ziegler@de.ibm.com

Hello Mangesh,

As previously mentioned, there are several hardware solutions for cloning DB2 subsystems. In our organization, we use one of these solutions, and additionally, we have a procedure for fixing the cloned subsystem and making it ready for running a SAP system on it (we do it several times a year). If you'd like to see some samples, I could supply you with some through email.

Best regards,

Daniel
