Adobe Document Services installation

Hi all,

I am following the guides on how to install the ADS, and even using the Adobe Document Services webblog found here: /people/achim.hauck/blog/2005/02/04/my-struggles-with-the-adobe-document-services-in-was640

I am stuck on the ADS installation because I cannot find the SR1 Installation Master file (51030843_<x>). I was able to find the Installation components (51030723_1) at http://service.sap.com/swdc but the other one isn't there. Can anyone point me to this file? Thanks in advance

I finally got the installation to work and the Test works, but when I deploy it still errors out. Any ideas? Here's the error message:

Hung,

It sounds like perhaps the IIOP service isnt running? There's a step in the Installation Guide that requires you to set the IIOP service to autostart using the Config Manager (you'll have to restart the cluster after making the change).

Try that one.

Hey Jonathan,

I just checked my IIOP settings, and the service is set to always, and after restarting my J2EE it still didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion. Any other clues?

Could you explain more what is your example doing, how do you use the PDFObject do you have EJB and use it via WS/WD Model ?

I'm just trying to get the Interactive Forms tutorial to work. I've tried both the ready done example and the initial example.

Create a very simple WD application with Adobe UI Element, Just bind the required filds (adobe source and dataObject) to the context and deploy the application.

Do you see message like version as result when you call the rpDATA WS from the wsnavigator (ADS WebService)

Angel,

Yes I run the test and I do successfully see the Version # as it says it's suppose to. But when I deploy an actual application, I get errors.

When did yuou get this error at runtime or deploy time? More likely - runtime.

is your NWDS the same version as your WebAS ?

Yea, its both the same version. I'm on SP14 for both.
