Question Re: Cannot access the Subprocess Output Parameter in BPA in Technology Q&A

Hello msiblyb,
In SAP BPA, subprocess output parameters can’t be accessed from within an Automation step because the subprocess is executed as a separate job when triggered from an automation.
To use its output, you need to call the subprocess directly from the Main Process as an independent step. Only then can the Process capture the outputs and pass them to the subsequent steps.
Hope this helps. Thanks!

I’m calling a subprocess from inside an automation that runs within another process. After running the subprocess, I need to capture and use its output inside the automation. How can I do this?

Thanks in advance.
