Currency/Quantity Reference in CDS view

Hi,

I am trying to create a CDS view on top of the table /SAPAPO/MATLWH.

This table has a field RSQTY with unit reference to T006-MSEHI.

Now my issue is, in DDIC table the reference table needs no join to the main table. But in CDS view I am unable to use the reference Unit in "@Semantics.quantity.unitOfMeasure without bringing it thru an ASSOCIATION first.

And, in this case there's no common field between /SAPAPO/MATLWH and T006 using which I can define an association.

I am no CDS expert. Am I doing something wrong?

@AndreaUS - I went thru your blog but couldn't figure out a solution. Can you please help?

Hello,

I found this UoM in the table (puom_wh)

I don't know if it is semantically correct.

The workaround I found is to create the association with T006 in the CDS view,

expose the UoM field to have the correct association with the Quantity,

and add @Consumption.hidden:true to the UoM field

in this way no join is generated at runtime during data extraction / analysis / query.

(the association / join forces you to define manually the CDC delta mapping if needed).

Thanks a lot @albertosimeoni. The issue I have is, there's no common fields between /SAPAPO/MATLWH and T006.

/SAPAPO/MATLWH left join T006 on puom_wh = msehi ?
