SAC Data Point Comment - Keeping Comments when Changing Data Context

Hi Everyone,

Is there any way to keep data point comments even if the data context is changed?

We have a table as below and we would like to link the comments to specific dimensions only (in this case Products, Plants, Countries).
So, the rest of the dimensions (Dimension A, Dimension B etc.) could be removed from the table or replaced with another dimensions. But the comments should be still visible as the specific dimensions are in the table.

Products	Plants	Countries	Dimension A	Dimension B	Sales Qty	Comment
Product A	Plant A	Turkey	Category A	Supplier A	200	Sales Qty is low due to high prices.
Product B	Plant B	Germany	Category B	Supplier B	300
Product C	Plant C	USA	Category C	Supplier C	400

Therefore, the comments should only be related to key characteristics (e.g. product, plant, country) and not to the whole table structure.

Is there any way to achieve this workaround via SAC Scripting?

I think in standard table it would not be possible. Data point comments get tagged to the intersection of all dimensions representing the value being commented on including the filters which are applied on the table. The below blog covers in detail the behavior of data point comments.

Dimension comment feature of SAC allow definition of dimensionality of the comment, but seems it doesn't fix your use case 100% as your comment is also relevant to the data point.
