Question Re: SAP Analytics Cloud compatibility with SAP Datasphere in Technology Q&A

Hi ,

Yes, there is a feature support matrix that outlines the functionalities available when connecting SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) directly to SAP Datasphere for analytics models. Establishing a live connection between SAC and SAP Datasphere allows you to leverage real-time data without replication. However, it's important to be aware of certain limitations and restrictions associated with this setup.

Analytics Limitations:

Map Visualizations: Only bubble, heat, choropleth, and flow maps are supported.

Data Blending: Merging data is restricted to datasets within the same SAP Datasphere space. Cross-space or cross-tenant data blending is not supported. Additionally, blending SAP Datasphere data with other live connections, such as SAP BW, is not possible.

Advanced Features: Features like scheduling publications, R visualizations, and comment widgets are not supported. Linked dimensions are limited to models within the same space; cross-space linking is unavailable.

Also refer this note : SAP Note 2832606 – Unsupported Features with SAP Datasphere

Hope this helps. Thank you

regards

Giri

Hello,

Predictive Scenario currently supports Seamless Planning, which is basically SAP Analytic Cloud planning model with data stored in Data Sphere. More information about Seamless Planning is available here: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ANALYTICS_CLOUD/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/6d81dcce234b417e8afb8450abab785e.html

In terms of predictive capabilities, it means that you can create time series forecasting predictive scenarios on top of planning enabled data models with data stored in Data Sphere.

Classification and regression predictive scenarios currently cannot leverage data stored in Data Sphere.

Best regards,

David
