Dear Customer,

There can be many reasons why the EM in the Solution Manager configuration step is offline. Most of the time it's suggested to troubleshoot as KBA 2979157 - Introscope Enterprise Manager Step is offline / Gray / Undefined due to user authentication - SAP Solution Manager 7.2. Please first make sure that EM is online at the OS level. The web view is accessible in the browser. Then check the Solution Manager JAVA defaultTarce for more detailed reasons.
