Question Re: DTW SQL Statement Error Message in Technology Q&A

Hi again,

Happy to report we found the issue. Our IT support copied everything over from Test to Prod as requested, but it seems they missed one security setting which meant we could see the views but not execute them.

All is now resolved, and data transfers are flowing smoothly!

Eddie

DTW SQL Statement Error Message

Hi everyone,

We've successfully tested a DTW transfer of billing data from our EAM system in our Test databases, and have transferred the SQL views to our Production database to start it working there. The DSN pointing to the PROD database is correct, ODBC test connections run fine, and all settings apart from the URL are the same as the working TEST version. But after entering the details in the Extract by ODBC screen and clicking the Test button, I get this message and can't co on:

In all respects apart from the url, all details of the settings from TEST to PROD are identical - user logins have identical rights (this is Read Only), SQL views are identical, ODBC settings are identical.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Please note: I'm only a humble SAP user and not a SQL expert in any way.

Thanks,

Eddie
