Create a Calculated dimension on a Dynamic Column Sap Analytics Cloud

Hello everyone,

I need to calculate dinamically the variance from the Plan Category on the left (in this case AZ_B0, this can change) and the Plan Category on the right (fixed to Actual, this cannot change)

The problem is that The user can change the selection for the Plan Category on the left, and in that case the subtraction still remembers the old value of AZ_B0 ! It's not recalculated on the new selected one! also if I reference to the cells and not to the value as I'm showing in the picture!

Moreover, there is not a fixed number of members for the Plan Category, they can increase, so I cannot solve this problem creating a calculated column for each member.

How can i reach this goal? I would appreciate also a workaround.

If you versions are changing on column client level calculation using references will not work. It will error out or give wrong values when new version members are selected as these formulas though show cell references are attached to the members. You should follow restricted measure approach with an input control for version. The Actual is fixed so you can restrict that to fixed version Actual. See an example in below blog.
