DWC Data flow doesn't show data from Query

Hi All,

I am using a query as a data source for a data flow using SAP BW connection.

The query is marked as infoprovider and listed in RSDWC_QUERY with variant.

The test in RSDWC_QUERY works fine in the backend and it shows data.

When using this query as source of the data flow it doesn't show any data.
I also checked the query with the DWC user in rsecadmin if authorization issues are raised, but all fine.

Simply the data flow always return in data preview and in data flow execution result "completed" but 0 records.

Any idea what else needs to be set to get the data to the data flow.

btw. calculation view is working .

I didnt understand the meaning or usage of the variants, as many can be set. But cannot be selected as

a source for DWC, just the query name itself.

Hi Ralf,

maybe I don't understand it, but the query you make ready for the DWC with the transaction RSDWC_QUERY is only for the BW/4 Model transfer. So you are able to move the query from BW/4 into the Business Builder of the DWC. I never heard that the query is connected via data flow into the DWC.

So can you explain it a bit more?

Hi Tobias,

ok , we are not using model transfer.
It was just an assumption that data flow can read queries as well, as it shows full structure as a source, but does not transfers any data. So I understand that data flows should not be used having queries as source.
