Technical user for BAS extension deploy

Hello everyone,

trying to deploy a Business Application Studio Extension by following this documentation: Create and Deploy an SAP Business Application Studio Extension

Deploy works fine using my personal S-User and I want now to configure a technical user for this purpose.

I tried by creating a Technical S-User and assigning it with the BAS Extension Deployer role, but I receive the following error:

Log in with the WING_USER and WING_PASSWORD environment variables.
Connecting to https://***.eu10cf.applicationstudio.cloud.sap ...
Could not login to https://***.eu10cf.applicationstudio.cloud.sap. Make sure your credentials are valid. If the user profile requires two-factor authentication, open wex from your SAP Business Application Studio dev space or enter the credentials of a technical user.

Does anyone know how to create a technical user for this purpose?

Hi,

You should deploy your extension from the devspace terminal that doesn't require authentication.

If you still have this issue please post here the command you run.

thank you for your answer.

I'm working in a CI environment (Github Actions) so I cannot deploy from the devspace terminal.

This is the command that I'm using:

wex deploy -e https://***.eu10cf.applicationstudio.cloud.sap

Credentials are stored in the environment variables WING_USER and WING_PASSWORD.

This scenario is explained in this guide and it sais that in CI environment is recommended using a technical user.
