Question Re: WebComponent and oData in Technology Q&A

You are quite right here: Data binding is not part of the UI5 Web Components but requires a programming model or rather a corresponding UI framework.

Check out the blog post SAP Community Call Follow-Up: Latest Developments in (and around) UI5. There you can find answers to some general questions about the UI5 Web Components.

I am not getting is how to bind data to web components. Say I'd like to have a material master screen similar to S/4Hana. How would this be built?

Is this the task of angular or whatever UI framework is used? If yes, then I never saw any framework being close to what SAPUI5 provides.

Any pointers? I am totally confused.

Thanks Margot. Can you explain the reason? I love the low footprint of Web Components but without data approx 80% of the use cases are gone. Which framework would you use for oData binding? SAPUI5 + WebComponents is obviously possible, but does it make sense?
