Question Re: SAP Cloud Integration instance Service Key - Basic Authentication in Cloud Foundry in Technology Q&A

I was thinking of assigning the MessageSend role to my user in SAP Trust center in the BTP cockpit but then again the user has to be the email and is longer than 12 chars for my organization.

Eventually I would use the cert based authentication, just waiting on my ECC cert to be signed by the trusted CA, in the meantime, I wanted to use the basic auth to keep things moving.

Thanks

I am trying to test connectivity using the report RCOD_CHECK_E2E_CONNECTIVITY from ECC. I want to test using Basic Authentication but the Client ID generated in the Service Key for the integration runtime instance is too long and exceeds the limit of 12 characters in the User field in the report.

How do I do this? Is there a way to generate a custom username and password for the service key? The generated service can't be modified, I tried that already.

To test the basic auth, we ended up using the S-User ID.
