Analytics Designer send email

Hi,

We have a requirement to send an email to a user onClick of their name in a table within an Analytics Designer application (can use userID if necessary).

I have seen various posts and articles around the Application.sendNotification() API, but so far have been unable to get it to work onClick of a button (small POC dashboard).

Example code:

Application.sendNotification({
"title": "notification title",
"content": "notification content",
"receivers": ["MY_USER"],
"mode": ApplicationMode.View
});

Can anyone point me in the direction of a quick tutorial on using this API?

Any help much appreciated,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Is the sendNotification API available only for scheduled reports? Or is it possible to enable send notification during application runtime based on user input?

Sending a mail with onClick() can be done with NavigationUtils.openUrl() and the mailto URL must be in unicode.

For example:

NavigationUtils.openUrl("mailto:email@mail.com?subject=subject&body=body",true);
