Which Patch Level and Version do you use? There was a Bug in older Patch Levels which failed with this. But now this is already addressed in the latest Patch Level.

In any case, is the permission okay for the spfile? Whoc is starting up the Database Instance and the Windows Service?

Hi Tony,

I meant the output of "brtools -V". You should use at least 7.40 Patch Level 40.

example output:

...
release note 1838850
kernel release 740
patch date 2020-06-18
patch level 42
make platform linuxx86_64
make codeline 749_REL
make mode OCI_112
make date Jun 19 2020

Furthermore, do you use BACKINT maybe? Or is there a chance that the file gets locked and moved by any other software?
