I am using BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE to update the material classification field from the values in database table. It is updating the value correctly but when I am passing the blank value in value_neutral of ALLOCVALUESCHARNEW it is not changing the characteristics values to blank and old data is only appearing in material classification after BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMITT.

I tried deleting the characteristics from ALLOCVALUESCHARNEW but it results in error - Inconsistent characteristic value assignment ( C1 821)

Please help me and suggest how to clear the values from BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE or if there is any other way to achieve the same requirement.

In fact, we have just to remove entry from type corresponding internal table to clear it in classification...

But in my case, an user-exit prevented the characteristic from being blanked !

Before we call BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE, we should delete the records in table parameters ( allocvaluescharnew) which have initial value / blank value.
