Question Re: does SAP Cloud Platform Integration Advisor application- activation have separate charges? in Technology Q&A

Hi Pooja,

you have to decide between costs for the ICA (Integration Content Advisor) and the follow up costs. So let's have a look on the tool's cost first.

From my understanding it depends on the CPI agreement/edition you are using. If you bought your CPI in subscription model as "Enterprise edition" (which currently costs ~7000€/month), then ICA should be included for free. (Source: https://www.sapstore.com/solutions/40005/SAP-Cloud-Platform-Integration)

If you got your CPI via the Consumption-based pricing model then you have to add ICA as additional entitlement. This costs ~240€/month. You can check the pricing estimator tool to get the price for your region: https://www.sap.com/products/cloud-platform/pricing/estimator-tool.html

Now let's have a look onto the followup costs. Not all type libraries in ICA are available for free. For example the type systems "SAP IDoc" or "UN/CEFACT" come for free with ICA, but the type systems "ASC X12" or "UN/EDIFACT" have to be bought/license additionally. The prices for the type systems differ in a range between ~170€/month up to 500€/month. You can check the table in the following blog post to see which systems are for free and which not: https://blogs.sap.com/2019/03/12/integration-content-advisor-list-of-provided-type-systems/

Prices for the type systems can be found in the SAP store: https://www.sapstore.com/solutions/40109/SAP-Cloud-Platform-Integration%2C-Library-add-ons#comparing-edition-section
