[Bug] SAP GUI Shortcut Parameter -reuse

Hi,

I'm using command line options to logon to several SAP systems from the password safe Keepass 2 with URL overwrites looking like this

cmd://sapgui.exe /SHORTCUT="-system={URL} -client={S:Client} -user={USERNAME} -pw={PASSWORD} -language=EN -reuse=0"

or this

cmd://sapshcut.exe -system={URL} -client={S:Client} -user={USERNAME} -pw={PASSWORD} -language=EN -reuse=0

{...} are replaced with actual values from the password safe, i.e. URL=P11, S:Client=001, etc.

I would like to use -reuse=1 (the default), but ran into issues, where only two (sometimes three) different systems i.e. P11 and P12 would logon fine in parallel, but starting P13 brings up the window of P12. According to SAP Note 103019 the system ID, client, user, and logon language need to match for reuse to consider the session reusable, which isn't the case here.

This also happens with shortcuts in the GUI or on the Desktop.

Have I overlooked something, or is it a bug?

What is the version of SAPGUI and along with patch level? have you tried with latest patch of SAPGUI?

It works in my case. SAP GUI 7.60

Note that if a session is already opened with the same logon data, the window doesn't show up.

7.60, patch level 3. That's the latest available in my company.

this is unfortunately a bug.

See also SAP Note 2858972.
The fix for this is included in patchlevel 4.
