Debug Nested Store Procedures in HANA Web IDE

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to debug store procedure nested within another store procedure in HANA Web IDE in the same session?

My HANA version is 1.2 SP 12.

I got few store procedures being called with in the parent procedure. Will the debug session take me into the called procedure?

Hi David,

It is possible to debug called procedure using web IDE. Please refer below steps to follow:

i) For web IDE, open calling procedure and called procedure.

ii) Put break-point in the called procedure. If you click on line number, it will place a break-point. or Right-click to add break-point (refer image)

iii) Open debugger window. You will find that option in menu (refer image)

iv) Run the parent procedure from menu option - Invoke Procedure (refer image)

v) You will view variable values and expressions (refer image)
