Hello Experts,

I would like to develop a chat like function with in SAP ERP function. As you may all agree, the interface of the screen programming is so dull and not attractive. To make the user experience rich I would like to use HTML in ABAP. The sample program demo_game_2048_740 is very user attractive with rich HTML coding. I would like build something like below. But there has to be two partitions within a single screen and one has to be for user to enter and other to display. How to achieve the same ?

Just Suggestion, why can't you use SAP Fiori for it? you can get different user experience with Fiori. Copilot is chat framework. SAP CoPilot is now integrated into SAP Conversational AI. If you need to get beautiful UI you should go ahead with different tool like Xamarin.

cl_abap_browser is a nice way to start but how to show splitter screens with in it ? or to integrate with traditional screen programming ?

but what if the client doesnt have a FIORI launhcpad. As you may be knowing most of the SAP customers are still using the old SAP ERP system and not the new technologies.

I got your point, then use another user interface development tool like Xamarin and use API to connect the application UI, then later even you upgrade you can use your same API to connect new system with less development .

You mean HTML inside SAP GUI for Windows (yes of course ABAP is then needed, but ABAP can be used to render HTML on a web browser, without being related to SAP GUI).

Based on your comments, it seems that your question is not about ABAP but about HTML and CSS. If you are a beginner in HTML/CSS, you should first read some 101 books, because right now I don't understand what you are looking for exactly (see the title of your question).

sam.pot you can create UI5 with OData services and just share the app address without need of fiori.

Even more, you can use Neo space in SAP Cloud Platform and develop your chat there.
Check OpenSap course about SAP CP.
