Question Re: Generating Crystal Reports 2016 via script in Technology Q&A

Thanks for the suggestion, but something like this would not work with our current setup and would require substantial re-write. I would like to continue using the script-based approach we have now. What we have now works great.

We are currently using Crystal Reports 10 and are considering upgrading to 2016. We have scripts written in vbscript that automate the generation and export to pdf of our reports. We are not a .NET shop and do not have .NET.

Is this same functionality possible in CR 2016? It is my understanding the SDK quit coming with CR with version 11. I see there are separate SDKs available now, one is Java based. Since we are not a .NET shop I would like to use the Java SDK and use javascript.

No Script support without creating your own interpreter.

Moved to CR for Eclipse, our free version of Java.
