ITS mobile, barcode scanner

Hi,

We need to automate the annual asset inventory process: reading the barcode with a scanner, exchanging data between the scanner and SAP ECC6.0, MM module (we have not implemented the WM module). My first thought is to use ITS mobile to communicate with the scanner, developing a custom program. I would like to know if anyone has experience in implementing ITS mobile and having information about:

1. Which barcode scanner devices are supported or, better, recommended by SAP (please indicate any SAP notes if possible). Which barcode scanner would be better to buy?

2. Which browsers and operating systems are supported?

All suggestions on automating the annual inventory process are welcome and will be appreciated.

Hello Mio,

from ITSMobile perspective. OS and Browser independent and Barcode scanning is supported; Cannot recommend a device per se.

What type of scanning is going to be done here? Forklift, Handheld, Fixed etc? Volume?
