Which Eclipse Package is Recommended?

Hello community,

a tiny question about the Eclipse packages.

Eclipse.org offers a few packages of Eclipse, e.g. like Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers, Eclipse IDE for Java Developers or Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers. But which is the recommended package? Are there any dependencies between the Eclipse package and the SAP Development Tools for Eclipse?

Unfortunately I can't find a definitely answer, e.g. here. I read here the recommendation of Java EE, also here.

Hi Stefan,

that depends on the scenario that you are implementing. If you want to do only ABAP with eclipse you choose the Eclipse IDE for Java developers: Eclipse IDE for Java Developers | Packages

When you want to do UI5 development with eclipse you have to choose the Eclipse IDE for JEE developers: Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers | Packages
