hi everyone,

i wish to use SAP netweaver to do a system copy with some R3load data. Currently most of the tables have been imported successfully into Hana DB except for one table data. I realise this table is actually a clustered tables and the data hasn't been declustered / depooled in the beginning of the export.

now that I have no longer the access to the older system, is there any way I could convert those clustered to declustered data?

i Know when declustered option was enabled during the export, additional files such as SAP[clustered table name].str.logical were created.

could I manually create such additional missing files?

please advice.

Hello Chris,

You should provide us with the version of SAP and kernel version+patch level of that SAP system. I assume it is >= 740.

What bothers me in the statement is "most of the tables except one".

Q) How do you know it's only one table ?

Q) Did you have any issues during the migration with a R3load export processes failing/crashing ? Can you upload the export log of the package that contained this cluster table.

Before you even attempt any repairs or declustering make sure you have a safe backup of your system.

1. Run tx DB02 (consistency check) and post the output here.

2. Run report SHDB_MIGRATION_CHECK. This will list all cluster/pool tables that haven't been declustered/depooled. Also paste the output here.

In parallel please have a look at the following notes which will help you understand your problem and depending on the output of what I have asked above will help determine the correct action to take.

1785060 - Recommendations for performing the migration to SAP HANA

1798054 - After de-clustering tables remain as cluster in ABAP Dict

2054699 - Subsequent declustering of an SAP system on SAP HANA using R3load

2227432 - How to: Declustering and depooling with NW 7.4 SP03 and higher on databases other than SAP HANA

KR,

Amerjit

HI Amerjit,

sorry for not providing more info. Here's the detailed info.

we have a customer who has shared some table data with us by exporting them with R3load. They are on ECC6.0 and were using Kernel 7.20.

As we are only interested in pumping their data into HANA DB, we use Netweaver 7.45 to do a system copy. And we selected the exported dump during the Netweaver import progress. All data actually got inserted into HANA DB. However, there was this table RFBLG data which was created in HANA and not those tables pool such as BSET, BSEG, etc.

We had a relook of the data and we realised that RFBLG dump does not have SAPRFBLG.str.logical file which would usually be created if they have exported with depooling selected.

now I wish to know how we can decluster the data without going to the customer's source system?

IS there a way to decluster the data by trying to setup the directory similar to that of a declustered export?

Best Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

No problems about the info. It just helps to better understand and therefore better respond.

If I have understood you correctly the source (unknown DB) and the target (HANA) are both on 7.20. As far as I recall declustering of tables is only supported as of 7.40. As your badge seems to suggest that you are a SAP employee maybe you could get that confirmed internally.

KR,

Amerjit
