same data in multple data packets in PSA

Hello Experts

I am facing a issue when loading the data from ECC to BI. See the below details :

data packet	data records	EBELN	EBELP	ETENR
12	9.668	123	10	1
12	9.669	123	10	2
11	10.276	123	10	1
11	10.277	123	10	2
1	8.907	123	10	2
1	8.908	123	10	1

I am doing a full load and as shown above .. same EBELN , EBELP and ETENR combnamtion are getting fetched in multiple data packets in the PSA.

if i perform a selective laod for EBELN 123 , only 2 record are fetched which is correct.

The maximum size of data packet in KB is 50000.

can u please guide me how tofix the isuse.

Hi,

At PSA, have only one request or multiple request.

Have you loaded above data to target? if yes then can you check at target level.

how it looks EBELN 123 data.

since its loaded multiple time in PSA ... the keyfigures are getting doubled or trippled at the cube

Hi,

if you load full load every time then you need to delete PSA data and cube data.

its common nature.

Try to load data thru process chains. in that you can add psa data deletion and cube overlapping request deletion.

yea ofcourse ...

my issue is in every IP request ... the records are being fetched in more than one Data packet.. and hence the key figures are multipled ...

Hi,

do full load only one time for all records

if you load the multiple times it will add up into cube.

better use the DSO as the storage - it will overwrite the records based on the key field selections.

if you are loading the data form PSA to cube load one time- while loading the same data again delete the existing request.

Can you test your data source at source side RSA3 and see how it pulls data for EBELN 123.

At BW side, create a new info pack and trigger your load.

later check the data at psa.

in the past you didn't get this problem?

Hi,

PSA will get exactly what ever is available in Datasource for the given selections in IP, check what selections are being used while fetching data into PSA in IP. Try to see the data in RSA3 with same selections with Full mode in source system. If you are doing full load daily do as per Raman's suggestion.

Can you replicate data source and activate it.

later try to check psa have any inconsistencies thru SE38 - RSAR_NEWDS_PSA_USEROBJ_CHECK .

its checks if have any inconsistency.

Have you replicated data source or try to activate PSA table thru Se14.

Hi,

What is the type of data source you are using in ECC. Is it LO or generic.

If its generic, then it might be extracting data multiple times as per the settings in data source. Please try to debug in RSA3 and check if its the same situation there as well.
