Native client for MS SQL server is not installed - Error

Hello Fellow,

We are having a problem in installation of the SAP EH5 on SQL server 2012/Window 2012 R2 OS server. How can we fix it? Please suggest.

Dear Suresh
This is not the right SCN space to post your question. You should be posting it under MSSQL DB space not under DB2 LUW space.

Mostly you won't be getting any possible solution in here.

Hi Kolusu,

Have you checked SAP Note

1966701 - Setting up Microsoft SQL Server 2014

1676665 - Setting up Microsoft SQL Server 2012

as well as 1970448 - SAP Installation Media and SQL4SAP for SQL Server 2014

Follow the solution form the notes for further processes of installation.

Please use the latest version of SWPM. Check the below KBA for more info

1881155 - SQL Server 2012: Native client for MS SQL Server is not installed.

Hi Suresh

Quick way is use SQL Server install (setup), in feature selection select only cleint tools and continue install, hope this helps.

Note: do not select any thing except Client tools.

if you downloaded SQL Server 2012 (51047515) from SAP, you will see SQLNativeClient folder you will find "sqlncli.msi" with in respective folder (64bit or 32bit) execute it and choose default options.
