Problem with frontend print using SAPlpd

Hi SAP Gurus,

I can't solve problem with printing using frontend (SAPlpd). In our company we are using frontent print (access method F). All employees print without problem, but I can't print from one notebook (Windows 8.1).

Each print finish with status INCORRECT and SAPlpd doesn´t start!

Complete message: Connection closed after (protocol) error (RC=1)

I tried:

- reinstall notebook

- few version of SAPGui

- change setting of firewall, try print with turn off firewall

- use old version of SAPlpd

- look in path for log files (print options editor of SAPGui), this folder is empty

- look in path for temporary files (print options editor of SAPGui), this folder is empty

I read few discussions, but I can´t find any solution.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Note that Access Method F is the old and not supported method for frontend printing, because it has been replaced by Access Method G.

Please switch to Access Method G - further information can be found in SAP Note:

821519 - Front-end printing with control technology.

Please refer SAP Note 2028598 - SAP GUI 7.40: Front-end printing with access method 'F' no longer works..!!!!!!!!!
