Cannot deploy application in ABAP Repository - Virus scan server error

Hi Friends,

I am getting a virus scan error when I try to deploy an application from SAP Web IDE into ABAP Repository. Below is the sceenshot of the error:

Please provide me some possible solutions.

Hi Lipsa,

Whenever you Submit Application into SAP Repository (Images/Stream Content) you need to assign a virus scan profile or switch it off in the SAP Back - end System.

If you have SPRO access in SAP you can search for Virus Scan Config Settings and change accordingly or consult Basis Admin Team.

Could you please guide me on how to do the set up in SAP Back-end System?

Our Basis Team do not have much knowledge on this. We are already running short of time, please let me know the detailed steps as in:

1. How to assign a Virus Scan Profile or ,

2. How to switch it off in the backend?

3. How to change the Virus scan config settings?

Hi Lipsa,

You need to consult with your system administrator. Perhaps something in the virus scanner needs to be configured/altered. I guess Kartik's answer is the correct one. If you don't know anyone with this knowledge then I suggest perhaps posting another question dedicated to this ABAP configuration issue. I will also try and ask colleagues of mine here. Or maybe Kartik will give you a detailed information

Thanks for your reply.

Our client has turned off the Virus Scan profile because they say it involves a third party software which they are currently unwilling to get licensed.

However, the onus is now on us, we bear the implications of turning it off, specifically, "turning off the Virus Scan profile configuration for the object /SCMS/KPRO_CREATE in Development system".

I apprehend this must be involving serious implications. I need help.

I have posted this issue in the ABAP Configuration. Meanwhile, if possible, please help me out with information.
